Imo these are a steal at this price. Sub bass is attenuated, but overall these are relatively flat and neutral, especially at this price point. Sound stage and stereo imaging are superb (I have had to take off these headphones more than once to verify whether or not a sound was actually occurring in real life... seriously, they're that realistic). Just make sure you put them through their paces early on, because Hifiman QC can be hit or miss. I paid a higher price for a refurb pair, and I'm quite happy with them. At this price for a new pair, I'm not gonna talk anyone out of this deal!
