This is a budget electric dirt bike that feels more like a small electric motorcycle, with strong torque, adjustable speed modes, and a tunable VOTOL EM85 controller. Build reports point to solid fun and decent suspension, with enough room for larger riders and a frame serial number for registration. The main drawbacks are rough quality control, loose or damaged hardware, loud operation, mushy or missing front brake setup, and a top speed that may be lower than advertised. It also raises serious legality concerns in many places, so it is best suited to off road use where local rules allow it.

Common Questions (7)

  • The listing claims 60 km/h, but real-world reports put stock speed around 37 MPH, with some saying it feels closer to the high 20s. The VOTOL EM-85 controller can be tuned, and one report says it may reach around 50-ish depending on rider weight.

  • Yes. It uses a VOTOL EM-85 controller that can be tuned with Votol software and a cheap USB cable, and the bike has a 1-to-3 speed switch. One owner also reported using speed setting 1 for a 9-year-old rider.

  • In Colorado and many states, functional pedals, 750W max, and 20 mph throttle limits are required for bike-path legality; otherwise registration and insurance are needed. Pennsylvania and New Jersey comments describe these high-power pedal-less bikes as motor-driven cycles or motorcycles, and Idaho reports require road use, licensing, turn signals, helmets, and registration-related compliance.

  • Expect a careful build: some units arrive with loose or damaged hardware, bent mounts, or brake setup issues that need tightening, Loctite, washers, or pad spacing. The upside is that the frame has a serial number for registration and the bike is considered a clone platform with lots of aftermarket parts.

  • It can be too fast for a 6-year-old, and several comments say it should only be bought for kids who already have off-road e-bike or gas dirt bike experience. One owner did report using mode 1 for a 9-year-old on private property.

  • No. The seller site is listed as 287 lbs, and a rider reported it moving a 6'3", 250 lb adult without issue. The 120 lb figure appears to be incorrect for the bike itself.

  • Shipping appears region-limited. One report says it cannot be shipped to Idaho, and another says there is no shipping to the Syracuse, NY area.

People need to stop buying these unless you intend on registering as a moped. You basically are not allowed to ride them anywhere other than private property.

does it have a far driver and able to be optimized like a tuttio as well? is it the same bike or something that only looks similar?
It has a votol em85. It's apparently tunable but there's not a lot of good info or settings posted to the internet yet. That said you can order a usb cable from aliexpress for like 10 bucks that allows you to connect to pc and tune using votol software

In Pennsylvania, Class 4 electric bikes (exceeding 20-28 mph or >750W) are generally not considered standard bicycles and are classified as "Motor-Driven Cycles". They require registration, insurance, and a valid license to be operated legally on public roads, and they are typically prohibited on non-motorized trails and sidewalks.
we got a fart in a closet over here

Idaho is cracking down hard on these bikes, citing and fining parents of minors who violate the newly passed statewide laws (not county specific laws). Riders must be on the road.. not sidewalks, common areas, or private property, must be licensed, have turn signals, wear helmets and follow all traffic laws. Many of the fines start at $1,000.Randomly, just yesterday I saw an Ada County task force give a presentation before the city council about the new laws and what the state is doing to regulate these e-bikes. I was there for another reason. All the old retired geezers in Idaho loathe these bikes. Lol, Idaho is the Florida of the West now.
No fine in Idaho is going to be $1000 for riding an unregistered emoto; a speeding ticket is $90 to $155 for 16mph+, a DUI is $500. What city's council meeting?

To be legal on public roads and bike paths in Colorado and most states, not only does it have to have functional pedals, but it can't be over 750 watts and is restricted to 20mph if it has a throttle. Otherwise, it needs registration and insurance.
Highly doubt that's being enforced. I live in Colorado and these farking things are everywhere. Kids are zooming up and down roads and sidewalks going 40mph with no regard for anyone or anything.

That's why more and more places are cracking down on it.

Just tell your kids to tell the PoPo they are sovereign citizens and aren't riding a minibike but traveling...
This. Nothing cops love more than someone claiming to be a sovereign citizen. Your kids will get special treatment, for sure.

Do you have a link to what 14/17" wheels work with this? Do they fit without alteration to the bike itself?

Thanks OP, got one for my extra tall six year old nephew, he's been riding bikes since he was four so he should be able to handle it.
You must love your nephew to death.. All kidding aside, if this is even real, I hope his parents are wise enough to return the gift.

News: "Kitchen knife killed someone. Mother is getting charged for her son using kitchen knife" You: "DO NOT BUY KITCHEN KNIFE, unless you are a certified Chef in a restaurant" Key point: Do not get discouraged from buying wonderful products because of an accident. People are going to be people. E-bikes are easily one of the best things to become massively available. No need to wait at stop lights, no gas. I bet you can get to the same place at the same time as a car (within 5 to 10 miles) or even faster in heavy traffic areas with an e-bike. They are wonderful
All bikes need to follow traffic signs, lights, etc. Being on any kind of bike does not allow you to run a red light.
