Had an older version of this for a couple years. It worked well, a little better than even the breville we have now because of the size, but the flip thing just throws all the crumbs and oil to the back and makes it hard to clean. Worked well in a small kitchen with very limited countertop space.

yeah, the flip is useless for the reasons you stated. It's great for frozen pizza and other things, but not a true air fryer, still good enough in most cases.

I've had the 8 in 1 and now have the 10 in 1. Love them both for a variety of things. Air fryer could be better. I purchased both through Ninja, recertified for half the price.

Looks like it would be difficult to clean even if you have the space and don't use the flip option. Anyone who uses the air fryer feature without flipping it care to comment on ease of cleaning it?

I too have an older model and honestly it's very hard to clean thoroughly. Because of my issues with cleaning it, I tend to avoid the Air Fryer features of it and tend to only use it as a toaster oven which then defeats the purpose of the appliance all together if I'm not comfortable using all of its features.

This things nice as a combo appliance, it was tedious before getting one having multiple appliances and having to shuffle them in and out of storage.

When reading up about the ninjas when the last deal came through, what I got was that, for cleaning, the ones you'd want are the ones where the back opens up and gives you better access for cleaning, but that many of the recent ones no longer offer that feature.

Having used Ninja Crispi, I have learned that having dedicated air fryer works better than toaster oven combo. YMMV
