What the opinion about these? I like the drawer design. Is it worth to splurge an extra $69 for the CRAFTSMAN 262 set that Lowes sell as well?

This is a good setup that has 99% of what a homeowner needs. $99 tool box deals are scarce when compared to the pre-covid days.

I think any of these Versastack sets are great. I had a similar Husky set at one point but it got stolen out of the back of my truck so I replaced it with the 230 piece version of this and was blown away by how much better it is. I have more expensive tools in my garage box, but I've yet to be disappointed by anything that I've grabbed out of the Craftsman kit.

As for whether or not you'd need the 262 that's a pretty big step up in price and imo it'd make more sense to buy this set at $99 then if/when you need more then go out to buy only the specific extras you require. The main additions of the 262 seems to be 2 more sets of hex keys at a different length and spark plug sockets. The $99 kit covers practically all standard use cases though and there is a little bit of spare room to add to it, things just might not be as neat and tidy as when the kit is designed to hold it all from factory. Also neither kit has any pliers. Use the difference to get some pliers instead.
