I have a few of their batteries and mainly their older model bifacial and mono 195w solar panels. Generally average at a cheaper price but remember to check their specifications, varies based on models and versions. Eg. solar panels have different open voltages… so make sure your MPPT/power stations can support it.
This power station has 16v to 100v solar charging at 1200w 25A max, so most 48v panels should be able to support it except some panel like my has slightly above 25v open voltages per panel, so 4 in series will be above the 100v limit.
The price is good except there is no indication on the expansion battery (2 pins and 7 other smaller communication pins)….looks similar Allwei. Not sure if they are interchangeable since the app is the same: Landbook?
I am guessing this is a rebranded Allwei 2400W $630 and the B200 expansion battery is $599 on Amazon.
So definitely not Eco worthy but an Allwei power station.

Their server sized batteries and solar panels are some of their current best products.

Both have been through multiple revisions. It's good that they correct problems and make the products better, but their customers are essentially their product testers.

Their batteries, in plastic housings, have been a gamble for years on what's inside and things change over time without announcement.

There have been concerns with lack of safety certifications and fire hazards. Examples can be found in shopping reviews, YouTube videos, and online forums.

I remember being very interested in a UPS device they had where you could use your own batteries attached to it, until someone opened it up and discovered the ground receptacles weren't attached to anything inside. What other corners are cut which aren't so obvious?

I want to like eco-worthy. I'm rooting for them to continue getting better.

However, I don't want to potentially destroy my property (or get injured) because their products aren't all safe.

edit: this conversation got me interested so I looked up one of the UPS units I mentioned on Amazon.
There is a review picture where the ground is attached to the outlet, but the hot and neutral are reversed. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

Too me, it's not worth the gamble. Even the comments here in this thread, people have to guess about features and functionality. That's not good.

What fails? I use their rackmount batteries for my servers, and I have 8 of their solar panels now, which all seem to be performing as expected - 92% their rated output, while being at a latitude of 45 degrees. I expect it to increase by July.

Tempted by this unit as a smaller, more portable battery/inverter. My current ones are all closer to 100lbs.

Most people won't be using this for "emergencies" - it's a low capacity battery after all. 2kWh doesn't get you very far for much more than powering lights or other low-Wattage items. Even a sump pump could drain this thing in hours.

Ecoworthy isn't some unknown brand though...they've been around for a long time. Though not that much different than a ton of other brands you may know that slap their name on premanufactured goods, including 100+ year old brand names that are just a name now days.

That said, plenty of anecdotal reports online of poor customer service when issues arise.

At this price, just buy a second unit and a 3rd if you need even more power. Having different fully funtional units has some pretty substantial advantages over adding capacity to a single unit. With these types of things, redundancy is always a good thing. Its also so much easier to spread your power around if all the things you want to power aren't all in the same area, having different units that you can place where they are needed can be very helpful. For example, your fridge is usually a high priority when people lose power. If you have 1 unit, plugging your fridge into it kinda limits it without using crazy extension cords running to wherever else you need power. Every time I lose power I find it very beneficial to have a unit in my kitchen and in my bedroom. A 3rd one would even be better, to use as a UPS with my router, wifi. Lastly and probably the best benefit of having multiple units over adding capacity to a single unit, is if one of the inverters goes out on one, you don't lose use of everything like you would if you just added additional capacity to a single unit. There are pros and cons to each, but don't underestimate the pros of having multiple fully functional standalone units. I could easily argue that having 3 standalone fully funtional 2kWh units is better & more useful than having a single unit that's been expanded to 6kWh.

Definitely and I am suspecting this cheaper eco worthy rebranded Allwei pps2400-3 (version 3…I am guessing since they both have solar charging up till 25A 1200W vs older Allwei with only 500W max) is probably quality reject due to Ecoworthy components issues or Allwei is just collaborating with Ecoworthy?Anyway, the seller is still Ecoworthy and warranty is still through their US store. They have been around for quite some time and have many products, don't think they will jeopardize their own brand. Based on components prices, a MPPT with 100V/25A would cost at least $50, a pure sine wave 48v inverter with 2400W/4800Wsurge would cost around $200, putting the 2048wh 51.2v 40ah lifepo4 at less than $200 based on the before tax price of $434.Be careful with OP's AliExpress link now. I checked just now, it is no longer Ecoworthy store anymore!!!! Ecoworthy store is selling now closer to Allwei Amazon price now.Allwei has a lightning deal $527 after extra 10% redeeminghttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTCX6...razDjGGiKa
I'm wondering if the expansion battery would work with this unit. I don't see an eco worthy branded one so maybe this might be a difference from allwei model

It would probably be expandable with the Allwei batteries or you can use lifepo4 batteries in series via solar input. People on Amazon are already doing that. Buy these and a battery charger and you will increase storage.

I like your thinking. Multiple units for different locations is a great idea.

Not loud but definitely noticeable. The fan kicks on even with low draw of the DC power. It could be annoying to some people, according to an YT review.

Agree unfortunately. Recently just set up MPPT with the gigantic batteries I got from Ecoworthy. Charger broke due to likely my fault so have batteries but can't charge it lol

Having secondary batteries is a backup, as expensive as it is

Is this legit? I checked the page and the seller doesn't seem to be Eco-Worthy. I visisted their official store and this item is listed for 539. This link seem to be a scam

I don't understand why so many people think Lithium-ion is junk & it's far from worthless for EV. In fact, it can be a better choice over LFP in Ev's because Li-Ion still has superior energy density over LFP & this translates to a higher range per charge. For example. All entry-level & shorter-range Teslas use LFP while Li-Ion is used in all the high-end, extended-range & most powerful models. The Tesla Semis needing the longest range and most power possible all use NMC Li-ion. 2 reasons why Li-ion is the right choice for the Semis. It's more energy per pound, aka better energy density, AND it's a higher nominal voltage per cell, meaning, when you're building battery packs, it's easier to build higher voltage packs, meaning not just more range, but more power as well. With L-ion, you get more overall power and longer range. Li-Ion is not old and inferior. It's JUST different and is still the better choice over LFP for more things than people realize. IMO, the best thing about LFP over Li-Ion is that it's substantially cheaper to produce. As consumers, we are really reaping the benefits of how cheap LFP is to manufacture. Remember, just a few short years ago, $1.00 and even more per Wh was considered a good deal, and the higher cost was largely because they used Li-ion back then. Nowadays, we are seeing LFP power stations regularly for a fraction of that cost, and as cheap as 20 cents per wh in some cases & is seemingly getting cheaper by the day. Oh yeah, Li-Ion's superior energy density & lighter weight is why it's still widely used in the E-bike, E-scooter industry, and just about any portable electronic device like phones, laptops, tablets, wearable devices, power tools, flashlights, etc. Because LFP is larger and heavier, don't expect to see LFP used in drones anytime in the near future. When small form factor, weight, and power are at a premium, Li-Ion is still the superior choice over LiFePo4.
