Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce is a versatile pantry staple with a strong mix of heat, garlic, and tangy flavor. It works well on grilled meats, noodle soup, ramen, eggs, sandwiches, and banh mi, and it also fits into kimchi fermenting sauce. The newer formula is described as milder and more garlic forward than the original, with a slightly sour edge, and the pepper supplier change is said to have altered the taste. At this price, it is a familiar, flexible sauce with a different profile than the old version.
Home cooks adding a garlicky heat to eggs, ramen, sandwiches, or banh mi, because it brings a balanced mix of heat, garlic, and tangy flavor.
People cooking grilled meats or noodle soup, because it works well across both savory dishes.
Kimchi fermenters building a sauce base, because it fits into a kimchi fermenting sauce recipe.
Fans chasing the original fiery version, because the newer sauce is described as milder and more garlic-forward than the old formula.
Shoppers expecting the original pepper-driven flavor, because the sauce can taste different when the pepper supplier changes.
People wanting a sweeter, more artificial, or extra-hot sauce, because alternatives are described as tasting better when they avoid those traits.

I grew up with the OG on a regular basis as a kitchen staple and this new formulation is a lot more tame not as spicy. It has more garlic flavor than before.
It was probably re-formulated to appeal to a wider customer base since it really took off during the 2010's. I actually appreciate the new flavor since I love garlic.
But man, I miss that spicy kick the OG had.
I put it on ramen, eggs, sandwitches, bahn mi etc.
