SpokeX Bike Co. has the recently released Osprey Transporter 26+6 Travel Backpack on sale for $147 (use code "INSIDER", free shipping and no tax outside of CA.) It is $175 at Amazon, Osprey, and other sources of supply. It's a souped up version of Osprey's popular Daylite 26+6.

It's sized to fit within most airline's requirements for a personal item (18"x14"x8"), so you can "enjoy" ultra low cost airline flights with jam-packed overhead compartments without having to suffer the indignity of checking your carry-on at the gate.

I should add the seller doesn't have the fastest shipping (estimated 2 weeks, which seems like an eternity in this age) but the price is right.

Dang, do the changes justify such a price increase?

I paid around $60 for the Daylite 26+6 during BF. I travel with the Daylite and a carry-on roller and for my use case I'm happy with the Daylite. The upgrades are nice but they are improvements on things I don't necessarily find to be a problem. Definitely not worth the significant price jump for me. If someone is genuinely onebagging with this, the new improvements may be more meaningful for them.

I like the colors on this one way way more. But I did get my daylite for $60. So I'll hold out I think this is an upgrade for me around $100-80 which I'm sure won't happen anytime soon. I do like this material wayrle as well. My daylite is my work backpack and it's nice

12:00am Pacific, and it looks like all colors are $175 now.

If I was buying for the first time, I'd consider paying $60 over the regular Daylite 26+6, as this gets me an extra handle point (at the cost of a water bottle, but I usually only carry one anyway), and strong water resistance (which is always nice).

If you got a Daylite 26+6 for $60 during 2025 BF, then it's probably not worth the upgrade unless your work is paying for it. In general, I don't plan on being in major downpours in my regular 26+6, and if I was, I'd carry a $10 rain cover, so it still wouldn't quite approach the $145 or $175 MSRP price, so it's hard to justify this upgrade.

The price went to $175 but there is a coupon ("INSIDER") for 16% off. The Daylite is now list price $110, and you can find it for $90.
The daylite is a nice quality bag with an actual lifetime warranty. Osprey is well known for their warranty, many other bagmakers will immediately refuse a warranty repair on a busted zipper or popped seam as "normal wear and tear" regardless of what the actual use was. Accordingly, I think it's pretty unlikely you'll actually need the warranty on this bag.
I like the colors on this new Transporter better, and the features are improved (like the yoke for the straps vs. simple straps, bigger water bottle pocket, better pockets and made from tougher, more waterproof material). $90 to $147 is still a pretty good leap, and many people are perfectly happy with the Daylite. I almost ordered a Daylite but found this deal and wanted to enjoy the ultra premium bag experience (while I take my crappy Frontier airlines flight next month!)

Shoot, I decided to sleep on it, but it's back up to $175 today. The coupon still works and $3.50 isn't a big deal, but...

Edit: Should have waited a few hours. I bit earlier, but it looks like this has dropped back down again.

I hate to say it, but this company spokex.com is flakey. They don't answer the phone or reply to email. I'm going to wait and see, but might end up cancelling and doing a chargeback. they charged my card as soon as I placed an order for a color that was "in stock" but crickets ever since.
