This camera was "a deal" at $649 last month. Now down to "only" $549. Wait until June for another price drop. By then, you will realize that you never needed this gimmicky toy to begin with.

Don't feel like you need to rush to lock this "deal" in. Fuji is officially pricing it at $549 until June 28th. Likely for good.

Depends on use case. X Half is specifically a funky retro camera not meant for ultra high quality. Sony A7v is a much larger camera using full frame lenses meant for high quality work. I have the Sony A7iii and am considering this X Half because sometimes I just want a small fun camera.

i'm a huge fuji fan. i have about 15 lenses and 5 cameras. I bought this thinking the bad reviews were just haters. it really is just a toy camera. I gave it to my kid and he loves it. Just saying, make sure to test it in a camera store before purchasing.

This camera is a really neat idea, and sounds like a fun gadget, but the performance doesn't justify the premium price.
It it gets down to $400 I may bite just for the novelty.

This was never intended to be a "good" camera. It's a novelty item. For that reason, whether or not the price is right is extremely subjective for this particular product. During the original launch, lots of people were saying they'd have been interested at ~$500, so it seems Fujifilm is finally realizing they priced out most of their target audience.

This is a good point. I see that it is available for $550 from every vendor right now, including Fuji themselves. Everyone, including Fuji, is showing $650 as the MSRP. They must've permanently lowered the price. Still, unless you have unlimited money to burn, anywhere above $200 is a total waste for this novelty.
