Milwaukee's M18 FUEL 1 4 inch hex impact driver is a strong cordless driver for screws, lag bolts, and other small to medium fasteners, and the bundle includes two 5.0 Ah batteries. It is not the right tool for lug nuts or seized car bolts, where an impact wrench with a 3 8 or 1 2 inch anvil is the better fit. The bundle also appears as a single receipt line item, so it cannot be split for returns. A solid pick for general fastening, not wheel work.

  • The bundle deal is treated as a single combination item on the receipt, which can simplify checkout for the package.

  • The impact driver can handle small to medium fasteners like screws and lag bolts without stripping as easily.

  • Milwaukee warranty support is described as relatively hassle-free when repairs are needed within the warranty period.

  • The driver can be suitable for non-seized lug nuts on a small commuter car when lug nuts are not heavily torqued.

  • The bundle cannot be separated for returns because it is a combination item, which limits flexibility if parts are unwanted.

  • The 1/4 hex impact driver is not ideal for lug nuts that are really torqued or rusted, so it may not loosen them.

  • The tool is only around 80 ft-lbs in this context, so an impact wrench is a better fit for car lug nuts.

  • Using an impact driver like an impact wrench can destroy a brushless non-FUEL impact driver, so misuse risks damage.

If it fits it ships. Lug nuts, metal screws, all the above!

I went to the Home Depot app. It showed me that it is tool only.

Is this powerful enough to remove lug nuts from a car tire? Would I need a 1/2" Hex Impact Driver for that?
I used to remove/install the lugs on my Chevy Tahoe with the m12 1/4 impact driver without any issues

This is only like 80 ft-lbs. This is what you want

The m18's are even better but 550ftlb from a M12 is outstanding.

It's a good deal, no you can't separate anything to return any items is a combination, also mind you this isn't the Milwaukee surge 1/4 hex impact

Made in Israel!! No Thanks!!!
Like most power tool companies, Milwaukee has theirs produced in Asia. Viet Nam for this one.

I have the opposite question
The receipt shows a single line item, not separate line for impact driver and batteries.

12 years ago, I didn't know better and destroyed my brushless(non-fuel) impact driver thinking it could do the job of an impact wrench. Fortunately Milwaukee's warranty is pretty hassle free as long it's within the warranty period. With wheel lug nuts and an impact wrench, consider also getting a torque wrench to avoid under or under torquing lug nuts or bolts.
