Great book but you have to of read the first in the series as it's a direct sequel and a continuation of the unresolved plot of the first book.

Such a great follow up to Hyperion (crazy that one of the seminal works of Science Fiction is pretty much just an introduction to this book)

Keep in mind this is book two of four. It seems like many, many threads of the story don't get wrapped up until the last book, it's not really a stand-alone.

I did the audio book. Pretty good but IDK it just didn't click with me. Couldn't really put my finger on what i didn't like about it and I'm a pretty big SciFi fan. Not trying to be a hater just feel like i was the only person that didn't absolutely love it.
