This thing is so fun to light up the NIGHT. I mean it doesn't run long on its highest setting and it gets hot but man it lights up ALL the night.

This thing is super fun. It's the brightest light I own and fun to show off.

I took one hunting. Brightest thing I've ever seen. Fellow hunters were all in awe.

I've never owned a flashlight with Anduril UI. Do I need to be smart to use it because I'm not that bright? 🤔

You need this flashlight precisely because you're not that bright.

I have this flashlight. The turbo is impressive, but it only lasts for a short while until it automatically dims back down to prevent overheating.
The issue I have with this flashlight is that even when it's not on turbo, the brightness always ramps down automatically, even on a full charge. I can't seem to set it to a bright enough level, which is weird considering how powerful this flashlight is on turbo. The highest continuous brightness I can get it to doesn't seem very bright compared to other lighter and more compact flashlights. This thing is beefy and heavy, so it doesn't make sense to use it over more portable flashlights when the usable continuous brightness is lower.
I've tried to figure out the Anduril UI to see if I can change something, but I'll be honest, it's pretty confusing to me.

If you can remember that click = on or off, long press = lowest setting and double-click = awe!

... then you should be OK.

I have one. Its an AMAZING light for a party trick. But I cant really find a practical application for it. I'll always grab a more comfortable 21700 based light like a TS22 or IF25. But man, that Q8-plus is a hoot to bring on a camping trip.

The soft diffuser ($5) and handle ($8) add a bunch of use cases / functionality.

I've had this flashlight for over a year. It truly turns by larger backyard into daylight. Very wide flood. I can't imagine why you'd need that much light for a long time unless using it for Search and Rescue, but there are probably better lights than this. So I don't mind if it ramps down after a while. I honestly haven't had it on long enough to cause it to do so.

There are many cheap lights out there that claim similar lumens, but this is the real deal. Some people mod them with lhp type LEDs and so it can use unprotected cells for even more lumens.

I'd have to double check this, but I think it doubles as a power bank, too. In power outages with the light diffuser on it, the lower light output is still like daylight in a living room.

Btw, it's about the size and weight of a unopened coke can.

This makes a lot more sense to run as like a lantern. Put it on a table and ceiling bounce to light up a room during a long power outage.
Would also be good as a spotlight mounted to the machine gun on the back of your Hilux.
