This is an amazing guitar. I bought mine at 899 and it was worth every penny. At this price, it's a steal. Plus you get $48 back in rewards

Chinese signature guitar. What a great investment. Enjoy!
You know what? It doesn't really matter where a guitar is made anymore.

Right, and if you look to any hobby to be an investment, you are likely setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yup, there are some excellent Chinese-made guitars nowadays; my favorite guitar to pick up and play is an Indonesian-made Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster.

not for playability, tone etc but for resale it does... of course buying an instrument for a resale value is a fools math game.

beautiful guitar either way, just got the Epi Les Paul though so my guitar purchase itch (G.A.S.) has been scratched... for a while anyway. Wink

In terms of quality - yes. But there might be other reasons, especially for guitars, which aren't a necessity for most people.
Beautiful guitar, though. I wish it was made in Korea or Indonesia.

I own multiple guitars - some made in the US, some in Japan, some Korea and some China. I can honestly say that this is not actually a true statement. Best value is Korean made guitars. Chinese guitars are still the cheapest. That's not to say that they aren't any good but there is definitely a quality difference.

Laurel fretboard with generic pu's for $600 is a fair price - not a SD

Don't worry, everything will be made in India soon and then you'll really get to see what garbage looks like.
