I realize this isn't the most popular opinion on this site, but on Amazon you have US-made options from Akro-Mils, IRIS USA and others that routinely go on sale for a few bucks more. I've bought from both and would pick those over this overseas-made product.

Appreciate this! Been looking for sturdier options!

I bought two of these for my shop. They are fine. A bit cheaply made. If you mount them to the wall well they get more solid. Fine for occasional DIY users.

Are you saying the 2 below will go for ~$20 on sale? Just want to make sure I am tracking the correct products.

Also agree. I have 2 of these (sitting on a flat, solid surface) and they both sag. They only have screws, nuts and bolts (M5-M8) in them. Definitely get the AkroMils version.

You can use the camel site to look for what they've gone on sale for, for the most part. The ones you link are decently bigger than this Craftsman* but also no, do not appear to get down to the $20 mark, at least in black. There is going to be some premium for USA-made, so it may be worth it to you or not.

* The Craftsman obviously isn't "30"D x 8"W x 6"H" but the part number doesn't even exist on the craftsman.com website. The Acme listing (https://www.acmetools.com/craftsm...78812.html _has it at 14"x9"x6" which is pretty small, almost the size of the 16 drawer Iris / Akro-Mils units (which do get down $20ish); I'm not sure I believe those numbers either. Generally I find unlisted products with funky specs to be a turnoff.

Yah, you had me at a "few" bucks more. 1.5-2x the price is not a few bucks more. So totally different tier.

Like recommending an US made Spyderco vs a Chinese Tacticool Knife.

Again, you're also looking at a completely different size.

Again, I adjusted to the smaller ones, 26 drawer one -

And still wildly out of the park.

So if I these are sturdy enough to hold some of my bits and bobs and I don't care about the US trade deficit with China, I should be good, right?

These work fine. I have two mounted next to each other on the wall for all my screws and assorted 3d printer stuff. Pick up one of those cheap Niimbot label makers too to help with sorting.
