I have a 18v dead battery. Would it work for trade-in? The T&C does not mention its condition.
I have the same question.

It says, "Craftsman reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the the legitimacy of any battery submitted for trade-in."

They may as well run no promo rather than a bad one that most people can't take advantage of and will just be annoyed after looking into it. Not even worth making a longer drive due to gas prices and limit of 1.

Says limit 1 per person. I'm gonna drag my brother and a buddy with me and hand them some batteries to take in, so I can get all of the coupons. They are easily bribed with pizza and beers. There's at least 3 stores in San Diego participating, and i'm planning on hitting up each one until I run out of dead batteries, too! Mwahahahaha!

Any specifics on "qualifying batteries"? Ideally, you could lug in an old B&D 18V NiCad one (pretty worthless). I'm likely bringing in a 1.5Ah Hyper Tough Lithium one...

I noticed Lowes has a bunch of Craftsman V20 tools priced at $49....

Yeah, you could score some tools for damn near free with one of these coupons. Craftsman is owned by Stanley Black and Decker, which also owns DeWalt. Some of the Craftsman tools are essentially DeWalt tools, just in red. Compare the 4.5 circular saw, the chainsaws, and the nail guns, and they look nearly identical.

Has anyone already attended one of these events? I'm wondering how early one would need to get there to actually get a battery? 5am? I may talk myself out of it...

I'm pretty sure the tool needs to be $50 minimum for the Q to work. I guess we'll see.

I bought a full set of Craftsman BL tools back when they changed the name to "R+P" and Lowes put all the old brushless stuff on clearance.

Oh hell yeah. I have a couple of old nic-cad 12v batteries to get rid of.
Limit of 1 per household it looks like.
