Just got my battery and coupon at the Santee store. Showed up an hour early and right now it's totally dead. There's 3 guys in Craftsman shirts in the tool section handling the deal. So the battery I received is their new TABLESS 3.0 Ah advanced. Also got my $50 off coupon. Killer deal!

Just came back from the Long Beach location. People were lining up before 6:00 and they gave out all 25 batteries within 5 minutes. It's insane.

Coupon is not working on any items that are on promotion. Those who got that deal must have been lucky and got it beforw Lowe's realized.

I was at the Sunnyvale store today. The rep said he started at 8am.
He had a few cases of the battery kits left as of 9 am, so I'd say at least 50 (?).

He was taking the battery and charger out and keeping the boxes. So not good for fleabayers.

These 3 Ah tabless batteries are the same size as a standard 2 Ah..

I managed to hit up the Ina Rd Tucson store this morning about 9:30. Event was scheduled to start at 10.
Brought the wife and a second battery - totally not an issue. No questions asked, didn't spend any effort examining the dead batteries, no forms to fill out, no ID, easy.
Don't know if it was this store only or what, but they gave me the coupon plus an additional $50 off if I buy two tools - today only, while the rep was still in store. Said we were the "last people today he can give that offer". None of that was in writing so, no idea if it could be replicated.
As somebody else mentioned, yes, he pulled the new batteries & charger out of the box and just handed us them. Didn't bother me, but it's nice to know if you're looking for potential resale.

The Lowe's cashiers all were aware of the extra $50 store savings, but they had to do a register override to get it done. I started with the self-check and missed it on the first transaction, about five minutes with customer service got me sorted.
Since others have mentioned it, this gentleman was in a red Craftsman polo shirt and his table was set up in the middle of the tool area.

I just used the coupon online for the 2 battery and free bare tool deal at Lowe's that is posted elsewhere here on Slickdeals. The dude in the store did say to me the coupon would not work on this deal... but the order went thru just now here at home.

I was at Ina Rd at 10:00am. I was told the coupon would not work on the deal you linked as well, but then I came home and just placed an online order for that deal, using the coupon.

I get "Promo code XXXXXXXXXX is invalid." when trying to apply online.

I think I got a bad coupon. The cashier scanned it and it didn't work, either. It is also not working on anything full price online.

People did not line up before 6:00. There were 5 people in the tool area at 7:50am. Store was pretty empty.
The Craftsman guy showed up at around 8:10am to the line of about 12-15 people. Things were very orderly and not "insane."

So the guys at the Santee store said the coupon would work with everything except the current $99 BOGO deal. Turns out they were incorrect. I was able to snag the $99 deal for just $49. Picked up the starter kit with the 4 & 2 Ah batteries and the nifty little palm router. There's another one next week. I'm gonna try to hit that one up, too. Might need to wear a disguise for that trip just in case the Craftsman boys are sticklers for the "one per household" rule.

Not just that but there is only a limited amount that can be traded for. There could be 50 per store or even lower. Falling in line for a chance to get one might not be a good use for your time.

Leave it to the OP to be the one to lose out. My coupon doesn't work on ANYTHING.
