Verified with the SBD rep a week before (Lowe's Mid City in Los Angeles).

SBD has now removed that event from the schedule.

SBD should have marked that event as cancelled, then notified the store.

I'm not sure if it was necessary but I added the 2 year warranty for $7 and used the $50 off coupon.

Check the list as there are new locations which includes Ace Hardware locations.

Its agreeded upon that Ace is higher priced most times but if you search SD for "Ace Craftsman" there are some good deals right now that you can use the $50 coupon on

Yes I noticed Ace HW locations too. I wasnt sure if it was there from before or not. Also, have a similar concern as my limited experience with Ace HW, they make using coupons on top of sales and such, kind of a pain. If anyone has done this trade in at Ace, can you comment on whether they allowed the coupon to be used for sale items?

I'm in line at the Otay Lakes store in Chula Vista. I showed up at 8 am for the 10 am start. I'm 3rd in line. Last time I showed up 45 minutes early and managed to be one of the last people to snag the battery and coupon. This will be the 5th event in San Diego, and I'm exchanging my 5th and last old Black and Decker 12v NiCad battery.

Edit: Looking closer at the T&C, it says you have to use the Ace coupon In-Store on the same day:

†Ace Hardware $50 coupon is valid on 7/11/2026 or 7/18/2026 only for a single transaction on current store stock at participating Ace Hardware stores only, with a minimum $50 purchase required, and is subject to the terms and conditions contained on the coupon.


I'm going to attempt the trade-in this Saturday and I'll try to use the Q in-store right away.

I went and did this at Ace today. The Coupon is only good for July 11. They did have to override the price to allow the $50 discount to go through.

At 10 am there was probably 25 people in line. Everyone got batteries and coupons. When I left about 10:30 am, the rep still had batteries to give away.

A lot of people just took the free battery and left. For $5 they could've had a grinder, sander, rotary tool etc. And since they were overriding the Q, they could've gotten an inflator for free.
Definitely not Slickdealers.....

Any body able to use $50 coupon for the $89 BOGO set at Lowe's. I tried and coupon does load to the checkout screen bout does not reduce the total price.
Our stores around here no longer have the $99 set for weeks.

i tried and was not able to either. man, hope the stacking deals havent past us! i waited a bit hoping there wb some good gift card deals to stack.

Same experience. I believe lowes system does not allow to stack coupons for the items on sale. The $99 battery set was not on sale so it worked. I hope they have something new after current offer expires.
