Lol, what gave it away? Yeah almost impossible in this price range to get real walnut, but yeah its engineered wood per the description which is what I expected.

Nowadays, the only place where you'll find solid wood furniture is in a museum. Even veneer is not what it used to be.... it used to be rather thick but now it's resembles one-ply TP.

Looks cheap as hell. The cherry and oak look a little better. What's up with those holes in the middle of the drawers where pulls should be? That isn't any MCM design I've ever seen. I've actually never seen those regardless of the style.

They are Medium-density fibreboard (MDF), they will fall apart naturally within few years.
