Kirkland Signature Flex-Tech kitchen trash bags are a strong-value 13 gallon option that stands out for durability and fit. The bags are described as solid, with Flex-Tech holding up better than regular Glad and rarely ripping, even when overfilled. Long-term use comes with very few failures, and the 200 count stretches a household for a long time. The main caveat is pricing and availability, since this warehouse deal is not common and online pricing runs higher. A dependable bulk buy if the size works for your bin.

  • Kirkland Flex-Tech trash bags can handle heavy, overfilled kitchen garbage without ripping for long stretches of use.

  • Costco in-warehouse pricing can work out to around 10 cents per bag, which supports a low per-use cost.

  • Costco online ordering can still provide a discount, though it is typically less than the in-warehouse deal.

  • Kirkland Flex-Tech bags reportedly outperform regular Glad bags and can avoid rips without needing an upgrade.

  • The deal may be less compelling for shoppers who only buy online because delivery fees can raise the total cost.

  • HDX bags may fall off taller trash bin rims after a few days when trash is pushed down, even if they resist ripping.

  • The online price can show as $17.99 instead of $15.99, which reduces the expected savings.

  • The $4 off promotion can be relatively small over time, especially if the deal is missed for a household that uses bags slowly.

My area has the scented 140-pack for $10. I got some and they are equivalent. So if you like scented, and can get for $10 or less, very good deal.

The SD post for HD bags is listed at $10, so congrats on your exceptional savings!

Price breakdown:

Costco: 7.9 cents per bag. $15.99 for 200
Home Depot: 7.1 cents per bag. $10 for 140 (if your store has stock and this price-YMMV)
I came to check this thread because I couldn't recall the best discounted price I'd seen for Kirkland bags before finally jumping on an earlier Home Depot offer ( $10 for 150 in https://slickdeals.net/f/19305300-home-depot-13-gallon-trash-bags-150-for-10 ). With the HD offer including delivery, even allowing for the fact that the box appeared to have been launched at my house, I figured I'd accept tiny losses to convenience. Glad to read that the HD purchase was not leading me down the path to financial insolvency. LMAO

Good luck!
Jon

Bought target bags in a pinch last time we ran out... Regretted it pretty quickly. Will pick these up on sale and donate the Target ones.

Sam's member mark bags are superior to the costco ones
Totally disagree...I have tried both and the Costco ones are much better.

I don't know if that is accurate. SD editor put that in.
To know easily if your warehouse has the deal, check your Costco App>Warehouse Tab> Search the item number 1089787, as I suggested in the OP. It will give you stock and pricing confirmation.
It is accurate; my club doesn't have them on sale.

Then I'd call to verify if you want them today. Still showing when I tap on warehouse tab for me in the app.I didn't even have to search for it.

Nothing wrong with these - they are adequate. Whether being used for garbage or impromptu luggage when your wife kicks you out at 1am for aggressively violating the rotisserie chicken (again), they'll get the job done.
Side note: baby, I promise I won't do it again until the next time I do it again. Your momma was right, them chickens is too tenptin', and I'll never get that monkey off my back - BUT these bags sure do make cleanup easy when I'm done turnin' that chicken into a carnival sideshow.
You sound like my neighbor, who has been kicked out multiple times by her wife. One time, I heard a loud noise, so I opened my doorbell cam and then saw that the wife was holding a kitchen knife and chasing the husband away from their apartment. Luckily, they both cooled down in about half an hour and were all lovey-dovey again.

Home Depot has 140 count for $8 in some locations. Not sure as to strength but strictly cost wise a better deal. Reviews seem to indicate they're good quality.
Breaking news.
Buyer beware of HDX! Make sure your trash bin is not too tall for them.
  • HDX Bags 2 ft 1 1/8 inches tall
  • Vs. Coscto OR Sam's Bags 2 ft 3 inches tall.
  • I am currently using another brand as well, which is 2 ft 4 inches tall.
  • All three are 2 ft wide at the top.

I wanted to try out the HDX I just recently got. After a few days as they get full, and I push down the trash, these fall off the rim of my trash bin!
It is not because they don't grip it sufficiently. Just shorter than other typical brands.

I thought it was odd. I've never had a bag not stay on the rim. Sad that they are too short for my bin. If your bin is shorter than mine, you'll likely be fine.

They are strong against ripping at least. So now I will need to pad the bottom of my bin with something under their bags so I can still use the HDX bags. Still not a bad deal if they fit your bin okay. I'm just very surprised.
