i have both the makita and milwaukee rachet ... ive use the Milwaukee more... it is light and feels better on the hand reaching for bolts .. the ergonomic feels better,,, my makita i have only use it once .... the battery placement makes it hard to reach for bolts in tight spaces and makes the tool heavy

I have both, too. But I reach for the Makita more. To each his own.
$149 is a good price for the ratchet kit without the speaker.

Seems like a great deal! Makita is a great brand. Hopefully this ratchet continues the success i have had with all 3 of their lines. Thanks OP

I have the ratchet and I love it for speed removing nuts. The power isn't the best, but that's what the torque wrench is for. But what I do like is you can use it like a manual wrench too

If you can wait, its a decent deal. Last Acme Tools purchase took 3 weeks to arrive so YMMV.

This is the CXT 12v version. A CXT 1.5Ah battery is really not that big. The LXT version of the ratchet is certainly bigger and heavier, especially if you put a 3.0+ah battery on there.

As someone with a few CXT tools already, I'd definitely buy this if it were available to backorder…

Somehow I doubt the "notify me" will result in me getting it at this price.

Makita makes great tools but they have all but given up on the CXT line in the U.S. and are losing market share in their 18V and 40V line. Most home depots near me are clearancing out the XGT stuff (if they even carry it) and trimming the LXT shelf space. Sad to see.

I think this model, XRM08, was the first gen of the cube speakers. I like this size, sound quality, and ease of pairing this speaker, but it will over-discharge your battery through phantom power drain if you run it down and then forget it in the unit. I almost bricked one of my Makita batts doing so and had to trickle charge it on a different charger. Something that's manageable if you're aware of it, but not something I want to keep track of.

Great deal. I plan on selling off the speaker and battery/charger to get the ratchet for much less than $100 essentially.

It's the 12V ratchet... Not compatible with the 18V LXT batteries
