I use AirPods Max 1 and Sonos Ace at home. AirPods sound a little better and have much better transparency mode. Ace are much more comfortable for long listening periods. They are each excellent and have their place. I even sold my Sennheiser HD6XX.

All of my high end headphones, including pro max, are gathering dust because airpod pros are just so convenient and light. Noise cancellation and sound stage are slightly better on Max, but the comfort is just not there. At this point I just buy new pros whenever they come out and ignore all else.
