The GT08 comes across as a very fast, high torque scooter that climbs hills well and can handle light gravel or rough access roads better than expected. It has configurable P settings, a smooth suspension, and enough speed for upper 30s to around 40 mph in real use, with some calling it strong value for the money. The tradeoffs are serious weight, around 90 pounds, a jerky throttle, and small wheels that make off road riding risky. The seat ships separately and the setup may need a steering dampener and protective gear, so it suits riders who can manage its size and speed.
Riders tackling steep hills and gravel paths, because the motor keeps climbing without slowing and the suspension stays smooth on rough ground.
Hikers and hunters using dirt or rocky access roads, because it is described as handling mountain tracks and off-road stretches better than a truck crawl.
It has strong uphill torque and can stay smooth on gravel and hills, with one rider saying it does not slow down even in eco mode. For rougher dirt or rocky roads, the small scooter wheels are a weak point and can be thrown off by rocks or washouts.
A steering dampener is recommended if you remove the seat, and one owner says it makes the scooter more stable at speed. Another long-term rider says it is not necessary, so the need depends on setup and how aggressively you ride.
Real-world top speed reported is usually in the upper 30s to about 40 mph, with one rider seeing about 40 mph at 245 lbs and another saying the display can read inaccurately unless fixed. The scooter is still described as very fast, with one owner calling it a 43 mph machine.
Yes, it has P-settings rather than an official app. The settings include tire diameter, low-voltage cutoff, speedometer calibration, miles/kilometers, zero-start or kick-start, cruise control, soft or hard start, power/speed limit, and electronic brake assist.
I'd never want to do 46 mph, but how would this thing do getting me up and down mountain dirt/rocky roads? What about 4x4 roads? Mostly for hiking and hunting access, where I'd like something easier to travel rather than bumping along slowly in my truck...
It seems to me that the small wheels would be problematic for such terrain. Hitting a rock or a small washout might send you over the handlebars.
While no official app, you can configure it using P-settings: P10 tire diameter, P01 low-voltage cutoff, P02 speedometer calibration, P04 miles/kilometers, P05 zero-start/kick-start, P06 cruise, P07 soft/hard start, P08 power/speed limit, and P09 electronic brake assist.
I've also read on Reddit that some guy modded it and removed about 20lbs of scrap metal (those fugly side panels and whatnot).
have a link to the weight removal thread? Id be interested in this one if 70ish lbs was a possibility
-If you are removing the seat, it is MANDATORY to get a steering dampener (temu has one for 1/2 price compared to aliexpress).
-Throttle response in this thing is a death trap so it is important to practice your scooter's throttle behavior before trying reckless things. Wear a helmet. I recommend at least motorcycle ECE 22.05 certified helmet. Get some elbow and knee pads + motorcycle gloves with sliders too.
-Escooter wheels are notoriously awful at offroading.
Other than that, this thing is a speed god at 43mph. GT08 has existed for years now and it still has no record of battery going on fire. It also has some other flaws aside from mentioned above but nevertheless, this thing is really good value.

Not in California because of the max speed and wattage
I ride this all the time in East Bay for 1 1/2 year, no problem. Paid $7xx. Feel like it tops out in upper thirties (main display inaccurate unless fixed) but you can set power level lower & eco mode; with suspension It's fun to ride, smooth & great on gravel & hills, makes my ariel grizzly feel weak by comparison. Batteries also not close to ground sits higher than avg scooter. You don't need a steering dampener & seat needs to be installed but wouldn't bec you need to lean toward front wheel for high torque. My seat just sits in garage. If you fall off, prolly shouldn't be riding e scooters in general, it's really not as challenging as some suggest. I hope that addresses all the comments. ✌🏻

got my scooter delivered - I could barely lift the box! it was packed well and assembly does not look complicated. unfortunately, mine was shipped without the seat so I will have to contact their support now.

The scooter can climb hills strongly without noticeable slowing in eco or first speed modes.
The suspension helps the ride feel smooth on gravel and hills during regular use.
The seller can ship the missing seat quickly and provide helpful information when parts are delayed.
The battery placement is higher than average, which may help with ground clearance during typical riding.
The throttle response can feel like a death trap and requires practice before aggressive riding.
Small wheels can be problematic on rocky or washout terrain and may increase the risk of losing control.
The scooter can feel dangerous at speed and may require full motorcycle-style protective gear.
The unit may arrive without the seat, which forces extra support contact or separate seat shipping.
