I'd never want to do 46 mph, but how would this thing do getting me up and down mountain dirt/rocky roads? What about 4x4 roads? Mostly for hiking and hunting access, where I'd like something easier to travel rather than bumping along slowly in my truck...
It seems to me that the small wheels would be problematic for such terrain. Hitting a rock or a small washout might send you over the handlebars.
While no official app, you can configure it using P-settings: P10 tire diameter, P01 low-voltage cutoff, P02 speedometer calibration, P04 miles/kilometers, P05 zero-start/kick-start, P06 cruise, P07 soft/hard start, P08 power/speed limit, and P09 electronic brake assist.
I've also read on Reddit that some guy modded it and removed about 20lbs of scrap metal (those fugly side panels and whatnot).
have a link to the weight removal thread? Id be interested in this one if 70ish lbs was a possibility
-If you are removing the seat, it is MANDATORY to get a steering dampener (temu has one for 1/2 price compared to aliexpress).
-Throttle response in this thing is a death trap so it is important to practice your scooter's throttle behavior before trying reckless things. Wear a helmet. I recommend at least motorcycle ECE 22.05 certified helmet. Get some elbow and knee pads + motorcycle gloves with sliders too.
-Escooter wheels are notoriously awful at offroading.
Other than that, this thing is a speed god at 43mph. GT08 has existed for years now and it still has no record of battery going on fire. It also has some other flaws aside from mentioned above but nevertheless, this thing is really good value.

wear a HELMET???? NO way Jose! We didn't do no stinkin' helmets when we were kids!

Not in California because of the max speed and wattage
I ride this all the time in East Bay for 1 1/2 year, no problem. Paid $7xx. Feel like it tops out in upper thirties (main display inaccurate unless fixed) but you can set power level lower & eco mode; with suspension It's fun to ride, smooth & great on gravel & hills, makes my ariel grizzly feel weak by comparison. Batteries also not close to ground sits higher than avg scooter. You don't need a steering dampener & seat needs to be installed but wouldn't bec you need to lean toward front wheel for high torque. My seat just sits in garage. If you fall off, prolly shouldn't be riding e scooters in general, it's really not as challenging as some suggest. I hope that addresses all the comments. ✌🏻

got my scooter delivered - I could barely lift the box! it was packed well and assembly does not look complicated. unfortunately, mine was shipped without the seat so I will have to contact their support now.
