This Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro IV is drawing attention as a strong sub 300 dollar Les Paul with factory setup potential and a finish that looks better in person than in photos. The guitar is being praised for solid feel, good fit and finish, and lively tone through a tube amp, with some arrivals playing well right out of the box and even showing perfect action and intonation. The main caveat is quality control, with reports of sharp or sprouted fret ends, marks, and occasional shipping damage or repacked units. A promising value if you want the Les Paul look and sound without paying much more.
Customer service corrected the price and processed the order in under five minutes.
The checkout experience showed a $299 sale price with free shipping and PayPal payment.
The guitar can play nicely out of the box with action and intonation described as perfect.
The finish can be less fingerprint-prone than gloss, which helps keep the worn metallic gold looking clean.
Sharp fret ends can show up on arrival and may require filing down for comfort.
Frets can sprout and may need dressing plus fingerboard oil after tuning.
Some units can arrive repacked with a body crack and binding separation, with limited replacement options.
Some guitars can arrive with noticeable marks that cause disappointment.
