Pro tip: never put these empty under an automatic ice dispenser. Learned that the hard way.

Yup bought a similar 4 pack from costco now down to 2. Not very good at keeping drinks cold either

This is 'thin' glass which is borosilicate glass. That's actually a good thing. It feels very thin, but I have a lot of cups made from this and it's super light and heat resistant. So it can handle temperature changes better than regular glass but it is more brittle. It's like the lab beakers you used to have in school that you put right over a burner.

I have these and some of the Bodum glasses that these are copycatting. These glasses are actually HIGHER quality than the Bodum glasses. With that said, both these and the Bodum glasses are pretty fragile. You'll only drop these glasses one time, and as mentioned above, even an ice cube falling too hard can crack the glass.

How do you know these are higher quality than Bodum (Pavina)? I'm genuinely curious as I use these all the time and while I do break some over time, these are so convenient and pleasing that I keep buying them again and again. It's about time to get a few replacements

What's the Costco brand? I doubt it's this CNglass or whatever. Without knowing that, it's just a generic statement for all double walled glass. Last time I bought from Costco it was bodum which is the name brand but even that was iffy.

I think it was bodum (different tho, design on the exterior and a handle), another commenter said these are better but they are both fragile

The Bodums are slightly larger in diameter and height, yet weigh about 10 grams less than the CN glasses. Also, my Bodum Pavinas have significant height differences between them and corresponding weight differences. The CN glasses are much more uniform in size (though not perfectly so).

The Bodums have a rounded inner bottom which makes it more risky to stir liquids (I drink water with fiber in the mornings). The CN glasses have a more squared off bottom that makes stirring easier.

Both keep water cooler better than a non double-walled glass. I think the Bodum has a slight edge here probably because they're dimensionally larger and thus have more interior air to act as an insulator.

The CN glasses do not have the rubber stopper on the bottom like the Bodums do. So zero risk of getting water inside the CN glasses.

I think that sums it up!
