Yummy. Just what I always wanted, my dishes to have a slight hint of laundry detergent smell. Yucky Can't wait...

Coupon is $1.55 for me not $1.95. Price is $3.14, not $2.74, with subscribe and save.

Purchased this specifically to clean an air fryer basket, and honestly it was a terrible experience. It barely cut through the grease/oil even with scrubbing.

The bigger issue was after, despite rinsing thoroughly with a lot of water and drying completely, the air fryer still smelled strongly like dish soap. I tested it with a piece of bread afterward and the bread actually tasted like soap.

It's advertised for air fryer baskets, but I would be very cautious using it on anything with a typical nonstick coating. My guess is that something in the formula clings to the pores/texture of the coating and doesn't rinse away easily.

The only thing that fixed it was scrubbing the basket with a baking soda paste followed by a very thorough hot rinse. Thankfully the smell and taste were gone afterward.

TL;DR: On some nonstick surfaces, this can leave behind a soap smell/taste that's surprisingly difficult to remove.

Consumer reports rated Powerwash as the top dish cleaner, so it's a great deal if you like the 'Gain' scent. Hard pass if you don't though because it's prominent.

The bottles are great, but I don't use the solution anymore. I have found that Water, Seventh Generation Free & Clear Liquid Dish Soap, and Isopropyl alcohol does basically the same thing and does not leave a smell.

Just soak it in vinegar and baking soda.

Dawn is leaps and bounds above any other dish soap in regards to grease removal, but I agree-- not worth the smell in most cases. Luckily the alcohol in this formulation cuts that a little. I usually make my own with concentrated Dawn which probably isn't worth my time, so I'll try yours next time, thanks!

Unrelated but I find that Dawn is the best way to remove Goo-Gone smell, which is often my goo-too when removing adhesive where heat isn't an option. Then IPA to remove the Dawn smell. Confused

I've experienced this as well, but it goes away after rinsing and a short run in the air fryer to dry it. Definitely gone after the first real use, for me and my fryer at least. I have noticed that the smell sticks around longer if I submerge the basket entirely, I guess since the soap gets to places it doesn't want to come out of without a fight.

Anyway, yeah I've hated the smell of Dawn since I was a child. Surprised that it became so big despite this.

I like powerwash but do not like the Gain scent for dishes. Original and Lemon are both good though.
