I like the speaker for what it is - it sure beat my previous setup that was a center channel speaker tied to a small mono bluetooth amp board. Not sure about long-term durability, so I snagged two to have a spare, when they were new in box on ebay for $105 shipped last year. I haven't tried them in broadcast mode.

I have the Walnut, but I think that finish looked better on the older models, rather than the plus.

Just got one of these a little over a month ago. Sound quality is decent and would love to try and get more for broadcast mode. Even at louder volumes, everything sounds crisp! Only drawback was the app to set the EQ on it was a bit annoying and asked for a lot of permissions but I set it and then uninstalled it

I don't know why I'm commenting on a product I won't buy and don't have, but I'm just glad that a few of these products exist. It felt like a market 10 years ago that might blow up, but instead now nearly everything is "smart" with no physical inputs. And if you buy the new Google/Apple/Amazon thing, it likely won't sound as good, and it can be dead weight if you change your ecosystem or if the tech ages. With this, you'll always be able to use it.

I tried to find comparisons between this and the Audioengine B2, which I wound up purchasing, and was never able to find anything, outside of raw specs. But having a dedicated speaker that can take inputs and not go "out of date" is very nice. If I hadn't purchased the B2, I'd potentially be looking to jump here.

Are you confusing with with "The One"? I believe those were $100, but haven't seen "The Three Plus" that low yet.

Yea I had one of those B2 speakers and it was very nice (and got crazy loud), but I ultimately ended up returning it because it needed a sub or at least a line out to add a sub. I would have loved to add one of their mini subwoofers to it! That would have made an awesome, compact 2.1 setup!

Nope - they are this exact unit in walnut. The larger system with phono inputs and whatnot. I wish the 3+ had the top toggle switch/look like the 3mkii - the mkii fits the "vintage look" better than the 3+.

The UI is pretty bad on these - I had to print out a label to stick to the bottom of the speaker so I know what LED color is which mode...

I think it only took about a month or so to see them at a good price, although I wasn't specifically looking for new. These were new from a large seller. I wasn't looking for very long after I learned a bit about them, so I didn't think the price was anything special at the time *shrug*

Bought one last time and returned It. Sounded cheap, and I'm a big fan of Klipsch products.
