For anyone wondering, the "un-branded" 1200 is currently $1300 @ B&H. Given that 1200s were $600 - $700 20+ yrs ago, accounting for inflation, that price feels "normal-ish."

So $800 - sans the aesthetics - is a damn good deal.

p.s. No one cares what the decks look like if you play good tunes.

They need to give a deal on a decal to cover up that abomination.

That slipmat kills me but I don't mind the pattern. I might actually like it if the color wasn't as obnoxious, like gray on black.

So the platter just has the Lambo badge. The wheel pattern is not a slipmat its actually an exclusive vinyl with the wheel graphics on it that comes with the turntable.

Why would anyone buy a turntable in 2026??Unless you enjoy cracks and pops ,also cleaning disks...What a waste of money!!
All of vinyl collecting, rather make that entertainment, is a waste of money. But people do it because they enjoy those things.

Ortofon's VNL carts starts around $130, Concorde around $150, OMs around $120. JICO's on bit pricier side. Not too sure about non-dj carts these days.

looks like its just a reskinned/uglied up SL-1200, the $2k original price is seemingly just an upcharge for the lambo "branding"
reskinned MK7 to be exact.

Will this one make my vinyls play faster?Really, not a bad deal on a 1200 if you can get past the color. Skins/wraps will take care of it if you really need to cover it up.
no that would be silly! It just makes an engine revving sound every time you lower the needle. its complemented by a screeching brake sound when you raise it. Ya know actually as I was typing this I started to want it to be real...

They rarely go on sale, so it's a good deal if you're OK with the color pattern.

If you go take a peek at the high end audiophile discussion forums, vinyl are all the rage. They provide warmer and more realistic sound, specially when used with tube amplifiers. There are some high end turntables costing $20K+ that are being made today with modern technologies!!
