I just checked and 9 months ago everyone was so excited when Costco sold their version of the River 3 Plus for $199 and then Costco Next had a deal on the EB600 for $250. So $449 then for a similar bundle and now $359. Pretty good deal. Wonder if this means EF is clearing out inventory for their next generation of models. Hopefully one that makes the "< 10 ms UPS grade switchover" actually < 10ms for more than just a few types of loads.

Spec says yes, in actual practice many people have found that with certain inductive loads (even some PC switching power supplies) causes the actual switchover to be closer to 1 second, and very noisy.

I am using it with exactly a computer SMPS to it - not once in 50 odd times in last 2 years has it failed to switch over. (The plug I use my pc with needs to be switched off at times)

Yeah there were a few threads on Reddit analyzing. If it works with your equipment then it's all good, and will work 50 out of 50 times. If you have something it's sensitive to (like in my case, a certain NAS make/model), it won't handle the switchover 8 out of 10 times (whereas a traditional UPS would).
