I wish this wasn't a dewalt. Their vacs are not good. I wish Dewalt would stop using these $5 motors. Their designs aren't bad, but they keep cheapening things.

I mean, does no one find it odd that while everything gets more expensive, Dewalt stays the same price??? I don't mind paying a bit extra if it is better quality.

You're mistaken. This is their steathsonic line. Super quiet and high quality. Look it up.
