The Acer Veriton GN100 is a compact Nvidia AI workstation aimed at local model work, with 128GB of LPDDR5x, 4TB of storage, and Nvidia DGX OS for broad compatibility. The hardware is described as strong enough for large local LLMs, long context windows, on prem PHI handling, and even model training. The installed SSD is reported as a Samsung PM9E1 Gen5 drive with very fast measured reads and writes. The main cautions are the premium price, occasional price mismatch at checkout, and concern about the sealed design if the SSD ever fails, though teardown notes suggest the bottom panel is removable.
Common Questions (4)
It has 128GB LPDDR5x and an Nvidia GB10 Superchip, which makes it attractive for larger local LLMs, bigger context windows, and on-prem PHI workflows. The tradeoff is price: cheaper 96GB Halo Strix systems exist, but Nvidia compatibility can matter when software support is the priority.
The logged-in deal price is $3,701.50 and shipping is $50.98. Some users saw higher prices on the page, including $3,857.99 and $3,868, so the displayed price can vary.
No. The bottom panel can be removed with perimeter screws, and the internal layout gives direct access to the cooling assembly, storage area, and mainboard. That makes the SSD serviceable rather than a fully sealed, non-upgradeable box.
Units have been reported with a Samsung PM9E1 PCIe 5.0 SSD rather than the advertised Gen4 drive. Measured performance from one unit was about 14.16 GB/s sequential read and 12.30 GB/s sequential write.

You can say "intelligence" as many times as you want, it still doesn't make these systems intelligent in any sense of the word.

I love these for stability & serious AI development work. If this is like the other Grace Blackwells I have, It won't run the regular Ubuntu, but rather the Nvidia Ubuntu, and frequent updates and update reboots are to be expected.
Ohhh... I nearly pulled the trigger on this, but Gemini is saying that this is a completely sealed box. If & when the SSD dies it's toast.
