You can cash out WalmartCash inside the store (you need the app + your id).
That's good info to share. I think the ID requirement is a bit sketchy personally but I learned something new so thanks!

Still not not the same thing as a freebie on this site where people regularly get products without spending money as a promotion usually and in rare cases a coupon mistake that is honored.

This one is closer to what SD'ers calls a "FAR" deal, or free after rebate. Many people like those deals also.

Right now there are a bunch of WM cash offers. I've bought a few (pick up order) and when I'll get to the store I'll cash it out.
You need to go first in the app, when you click on your WM cash balance you'll see something like cash out. Then you go to their bank/financial area and you show the barcode from the app and your id and that's all Smilie

Store credit is not free out of pocket
Quote from jtree1 :
Not really free as paying cash and receiving store credit is not a 1:1 trade. Plus there is sales tax in many states.
Quote from jtree1 :
Disagree. Wasn't complaining. Didn't say it was a bad deal. Just describing it accurately. Free means $0. This isn't free.
Quote from PurpleHaddock528 :
There are products that are actually free without the requirements to spend money. Products as I described and this deal are not the same and require different labels.

Functionally free (only if no tax and regularly shop there) is different from free.

Both are good, but not the same.

Correct.

It would be misleading to characterize this deal as "free".

Gift cards, gift certificates, store credits, store "cash", etc. is not as liquid or good as cash.

We need to stop pretending that it is.

According to their website the "cash out" is only valid for WM Cash sums over $25. Have you done it with less of a balance?

I don't see the offer on my account, but I just purchased a case with the IBotta rebate.
I've cashed out for less than $25 for an online order. Never tried in store.

Did you buy online or in-store. I haven't tried Ibotta with online orders. How do you scan the receipt?

Both flavors use sucralose and Ace-K. Some people don't like the taste, others don't mind.

I understand your point but that is delving too much. For me, it is like the difference between 'A' and 'a' while writing the word 'pan'. Effect is still the same.

If buying online, you need to link your walmart account. I bought it in store. There was a coupon but didn't risk it as it probably can't be combined.
