Normal discount price. Fenix 9 is coming out later this year. Better sales coming for the 8.

While this is definitely not a good price given the fact that 7 has been heavily discounted recently but keep in the mind fenix 9 probably will cost around 2k.I have 7x and its my last garmin watch after its done i will switch to coros.

I have this watch (51mm), love it love it love it. Got me a sweet deal on it, sold my Epix 2 Pro and only paid about $300 to upgrade. Hoping the 9 doesn't have anything that makes me feel envious but it probably will lol.

Lte-m wireless, gimped skyleo inreach access, a speaker and microphone so better alarms/sounds and can answer calls if my phone isn't handy, a basic dive computer, smart alarms to wake me at the optimal time

But probably biggest benefit is being on Garmin's new code base that they switched to, so new features are being rolled out in a way that previous watches don't get.
