Non-serviceable (user or professionally). When the battery dies, or fails prematurely. The entire unit is worthless. Next year, Garmin will have to change this, if they want to sell units in the EU. The European Union forced Apple to finally adopt usb-c to the iPhone and stop the Lighting grift.

people would be out of their minds to spend even close to $1000 forget over $1000 on a Garmin these days

their development is really really bad, broken features and bugs for years

something changed after 2020

btw the Fenix 9 is supposedly coming out by end of 2026 which would be early

that means factory refubished Fenix 8 would be $500 or less by then if so

check GarminRumors .com and similar

I'm happy with my Garmin 165. They brought out the 170 which should have been a software update for the 165.

like everyone else commenting, the over $1K cost, that's some serious investment. At that price, I'd like to see Garmin offer way more biometrics.
