Compact desktop monitors with Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm input, these are praised for surprisingly clear, neutral sound and a wide sound field from a very small cabinet. The compact footprint, flexible horizontal or vertical placement, and optional subwoofer output make them appealing for tight desks or minimalist setups. Bass is limited and falls off at lower volumes, so a subwoofer may help. The main usability drawbacks are no physical volume knob and no dedicated power switch, though the front button can put them into standby.
The sound output is clear and loud for the speaker size, with crisp and neutral character that may reduce the need for EQ.
The speakers can produce a surprisingly large sound field from a small cabinet using the 2-inch BMR driver and passive radiators.
The compact design supports horizontal or vertical orientation for flexible desktop placement.
The V2 front LED button can switch to standby and power off by holding the button for four seconds.
The speakers lack a physical volume control, which can be inconvenient for desk use.
The bass is very limited, and it can become effectively nonexistent at lower listening volumes.
The speakers can overheat and sometimes distort audio even after sitting for a while.
Some setups may not allow volume control when the speakers connect through a monitor and dock, even though direct MacBook connection works.

I'm glad to hear you like the speakers. I'm rocking a cheap logitech 5.1 set but I keep the surrounds on the floor. I may be able to use its subwoofer with the new speakers.

As one YouTuber has posted, Drop really had a good speaker system but only deep audiophiles understand the technology. Corsair bought Massdrop in 2023 and let's see if they'll continue building these. For $23.99, it's an absolute steal.
