The reveal hit me in the nostalgia for a good bit there yesterday, but it looks like a meh remake, and ultimately a forgettable title like Metroid 4. At least it'll be at $30 in a couple of months like Metroid 4, just wait until then.

Did you see the video Nintendo released with all the new content before you made that statement. The new graphics and sound look incredible we finally get to play Online play a and mission with mode playing as James fox and other game play modes.I don't like when Nintendo just releases some of there games without adding hardly any new content but I feel like this isn't the case with this release.
Personally I didn't like the art style for the characters, the air wing looked meh to me and the voice acting was pretty bad compared to the original one so while the N64 is still a personal favorite of mine, this one not so much!

I loved this game on N64, but $50 on sale and $60 RRP for a 2 hour game is a bit steep.
Is that how long it is? Wow. I'm so confused with the multiplayer. They say 4v4. Now is that online only? They said there is split screen. But is the split screen have one person flying and one just the gunner? Or can you play 4 player split a screen?

Why don't you apply to work there and make those changes ?
Great company to work for. They have one of the highest retention rates in the world. It was over 90%<.

What are you talking about Get your facts right There has never been a remake of Starfox 64 but this makes the second remaster.
Star Fox 64 is a remake of Star Fox SNES. Star Fox 64 was rereleased as Star Fox 64 3d. Star Fox Zero is a remake of Star Fox 64. So yes, that makes this technically the 5th itineration of Star Fox saving the Lylat system.

Im torn by Nintendo's laziness and by the basic truth that Star Fox is a game light on story and is more about the rail shooting pew-pew . Is it a lot better if they do a new game but now they are stopping Andross' cousin in the LiLac system? Itd be nice, but I dont know.

Just got one but I imagine Amazon will match shortly like they did splatoon and yoshi
Do you get to sail the seas in Splatoon Raiders? Like the Xbox Sea of Thieves game. Or do you just go to the island in a boat never to board it again? Splatoon had great control, but I couldn't get into the games at all. Maps too small and a host of other issues

Its a route game. So its 2 hours, but different routes for different playthroughs.
As for online, Nintendo tends to do local coop split screen, multi console coop, and online wireless.

It's a remake of the Nintendo 64 game. The campaign for that was about 2 hours so I assume the same here. It doesn't really mention any additional campaign levels or gameplay besides some additional cinematic cut scenes. If it drops to $30 I'll probably pick it up for nostalgia, but otherwise, my backlog is already too big.

In the old days you could just rent this for a day or two and finish it. Nintendo knows how to milk their franchises

Why pre-order this? The price will be there, the supply will be there..
MSRP is $60 for physical so you are saving $10 by preordering vs buying when it comes out.

Why not both?

True. I couldn't remember how much N64 games used to cost so I did some googling. Apparently the N64 version had a retail price of $79.95 partially because it included the rumble pack.https://retrovolve.com/n64-games-...-came-out/
Adjusting for inflation, that would be $165 now. wild!
