Uses proprietary labels (more expensive) with no easy way of bypassing it. Also the labels contains BPA as it's thermal in case anyone cares.

I got a different one as well, but found out they all contain BPA/BPS in the label, so back they went.

I think at the $10 price point you are only going to find proprietary labels and why should BPA matter for this type of product? Are you planning on eating out of these...or licking them?

*I do know their are studies suggesting cashiers touching thermal receipt paper (all day, every day) likely receive far higher exposure of certain chemicals than is considered 'safe' (per certain thresholds) however I'm not sure anyone buying a $9 printer is likely dealing with those types of 40 hour per work week type exposure cycles.

I've been looking for a safe alternative. Did you find something you liked?

The NIIMBOT app is free, but there's a lot of pay to play features inside it if you want the really fancy borders and import images and such.

Is it usable to print neat labels for organization without being annoying? There is NO way I am buying a subscription to print labels.

Yes, I haven't found anything hidden behind a paywall that I've needed for functional labels for organization or information purposes.

I think it's literally just borders and pretty fonts.

You should also be able to just download the app and take a look, you just won't be able to print anything without the printer.

I have a different version that supports wider labels and I use it basically every day to print labels for baby bottles (daycare requires it). The labels are proprietary which sucks but I haven't seen another product that works better and has significantly cheaper labels.

I'm considering picking up one of thes too.
