I think it's the company that's been taking features out of printers after the sale through firmware updates.

Maybe he's trolling? I picked up a K2 in January and it's been great for me, having never owned a 3d printer before

Maybe that is also the case for Creality, but I've only heard that of Bambu.

I don't think is a discount price but its nice to see another printer at Costco. If you can wait for a slicker deal wait till blackfriday when prices drop. If this is your first printer you need to ask yourself on what you need/want. Do you need it to be multicolor? Most multicolor printers end up purging a bunch of filament when changing colors - are you ok with the extra cost of filament and time for this feature? Enclosures are nice if you have pets or kids an also can filter the air from VOCs but add cost. What are you printing as far as size (just small fidgets items or full cosplay helmets)? Personally if I only had $400 I would get the P1S at $399 its enclosed and has a bunch of upgrades you can do later if you want. I currently only own a P2S and love it but would not recommend anyone buy it (The X2D is worth the cost of the upgrade price, two nozzles, upgraded belt system and heated chamber). I plan to buy another printer at some point but want a 350x350x350 or larger with multi tool heads to drop below $1000.

The Sparkx i7 retails for $399 at microcenter. With 4kg of regular PLA you would expect the combo for anywhere from $440-$460, so a very small discount. the i7 has already gone on sale for $349 (which I missed because the Miami Microcenter didn't get any stock for about 3 weeks) and I finally bought it for $379.99.

This isn't an Ender. It's a solid take on the A1 with improvements. Smart and prints clean out if box.

Go with the Kobra X instead. Creality is not a great company, their products have a spotty track record recently, they use aggressive marketing tactics and push small creators to become shills for the brand.

My Ender 3 S1 Pro is decent I've been printing cookie cutters for the wife with it. There was a learning curve for me as I had the hardest time leveling out the bed. But honestly it's great now. I use spray adhesive on the bed before hand and PLA for most things.I don't know if I'd call it hot garbage, but I can understand how people get frustrated. If you have one take the time to level it. Then level it again and learn about the setting in whatever app you use. I've gotten mine fine tuned in and it's been great. Now I say this and I'm willing to bet something goes wrong with my current print. But it was free however I'd totally have spent 100 on a used Ender. Only downside really is speed as it can't do that fast of printing but this thing is old and works. When it break breaks I'll get wherever one isn't removing features as I heard Bamboo was doing that as well.

This. People forget or gloss over the fact that Creality sold one of the first commercially available/affordable consumer 3d printers. The technology was not good, but it proved the market. I think without them we would not have Bambu at all.

I own 4 creality printers. I would skip the SPARKX due to it being a "bed slinger" design and go with this for about $110 more: https://www.costco.com/p/-/creali...4000413591

The Creality K1C (released in 2024) is also hot garbage - bed warping, screws stripped out of the factory, myriads of issues and tons of QC problems.

Mine literally had the physical wires in the hotend melt, 4 months in - you can search to confirm all these issues.
