The 3 is fairly new. I have the 2 and it is pretty good, though there are some annoyances (can't set alarms through the phone, constant disconnects and reconnects). Some of this may have been fixed in the 3, though.

I have a second hand 2 solar and don't have disconnect issues. Though the range before it disconnects isn't as great as other watches, but I don't care. I thought the hr sensor was inaccurate, so I bought a polar chest strap and aside from occasional blips, it wasn't too far off

I have one and really like it. I wasn't sure if I wanted solar or Amoled because I hate charging a watch daily. Went Amoled and don't regret it. The battery lasts 15 days, maybe a little less with more use but still way better than an Galaxy watch that you have to charge almost daily.

I have the 3 Solar and I turned off the constant blood oxygen measurement and my battery went from 10 days to 27 days.

I love Garmin's exercise and health tracking stuff. Their app is great. But they need to up the game on smart watch features. For instance, my Amazfit does most of the health and exercise stuff of Garmin, but it is way better in smart watch features, all while getting good battery life. For instance I can answer and talk into my watch for phone calls. I can dictate text replies into my watch, but only to texts I just received. While I don't receive too many phone calls, the answering on my watch has been great. Of course, my phone is in my pocket, but sometimes it is more easier to just use my $80 Amazfit.

Ten days is plenty. I personally would rather have pulse-ox info that more batter life. It is especially useful when sleeping.
