With 8GB RAM this is a bit of a glorified tablet, TBH. Good for reading and browsing but iPad or Android tablet would be lighter, easier on battery and faster so I'm not sure what the use case for this would be. It is too underpowered for graphic design or development, even more so for games...

Loved these. I used them when I nursed In Arizona in 2021. I will say though we had a few and the one had a battery of 0%. It would lag like crazy, I assume that was the reason. I told management the situation and the guy was like I'll take a look, I shook my head because I already knew it needed to be sent out to be repaired. Week went by and I see other nurses begging for them to do something about it as their med passes became unbearable with it.

11th gen is plenty fast for everyday use. The real drawback with this is the 8GB RAM, which I assume can't be upgraded. Best bet is probably to install a Linux distro.

This processor was released in 2020 and Intel had been in a very stagnant place for years. But a lot of the review of this device at the time were good so maybe it will hold up. Battery would be my biggest concern

So do you need to buy a Windows 11 key to make this useful? Does anyone know about how much longer Windows 11 will support these specs before they give you the forced EOL? Anyone change this to SteamOS or Linux?

I have a 7 and is still going strong. I keep looking for a reason to buy a new one but it works fine. I love it.
