This is a repost of a front page deal from a few days ago. There's a lot of feedback and conversation in the original. https://slickdeals.net/f/19490526

I've owned the 25lb version of these for a few years and they work great. I got these 55lb dumbells 2 days ago and they are awesome for the price. I've owned the 52.5lb BowFlex SelecTech dumbells too and these 55lb CAP dumbells feel almost as good, and the weight plates feel like they attach equally as well. The grip area on the BowFlex is a bit more comfortable but these are still pretty good. I'd suggest these CAP dumbells because they work just about as well but cost less than half the price of BowFlex. The weight plates feel just as secure as BowFlex design and I never had a probem with either brand. I think the few people in reviews who said the plates sometimes fall off of either brand were not adjusting them correctly such as not fully seating them in the base tray before turning the adjustment knob to switch weights, or puting them down on a hard surface hard enough to crack/break the tabs that hold the plates on the dumbell so the next time they try to use it a plate might fall off due to cracked tab(s). Like I said I've owned the CAP 25lb set for over 3yrs and I owned the BowFlex set a lot longer than that and never had issues with any of them since I'm careful with them and I don't drop them or bang them around like the majority of people tend to do.
