I have a full neiko set. really great sockets. This ratchet is nice, never skips a tooth, but has one critical flaw. When using a loose-hand/fast ratcheting technique, even slightly bumping the direction selector locks up the mechanism. Anyone else have that issue?

I picked up one of these on a previous sale, I haven't tried changing a tire or anything with it but its a pretty nice ratchet for $10.

The Neiko 100-tooth 1/2" wrench came in 3rd in Project farm testing, behind Gearwrench and SK Tools. Very impressive!

My thoughts exactly! Only difference is 100 vs 72 teeth but at least when it fails you just get it replaced at the store.

I bought a 3 piece Neiko ratchet set when it was posted 4 years ago. They're still working great.

Using that criteria as the "only difference" worth noting in a ratchet, what is the difference between any two standard ratchets?

Anytime I go to HF, I manually turn the ratchets, and both the ICON and Pittsburgh have a ton of backdrag. Even the new G2s are stiff.

The Neiko at work, turn like butter.
