I used to recommend this method, but it seems like many people are losing their account due to using these "hacks" whether by return or not picking something up...
This SHOULD work and I've never been turned down for any returns before, but I've also lost access to my account (luckily called and got access back). I'm very hesitant to "hack" a deal anymore. If you end up just keeping the extra tool and/or reselling it on FB or something it's still a great deal and I'd recommend that with this battery kit being only $229 w/ a tool selection.

I keep seeing/hearing more of this as well. It doesn't sound like a company wide policy (yet) but it seems to be heading that way.

Yes, I can no longer purchase from the website. They even shut down new accounts if they think related to the banned one.

damn thats crazy. but i mean a little odd imo. they surely fully understand that its an obvious legal exploit yet continue to do the deals. they should just make them in a singular package thats only returnable if both are returned. i think that would fix the issue in one move but im sure there are a few things im overlooking.
and either way its a good deal regardless.

Exactly. If it's not allowed, then fix the loophole. Why ban legal customers from future business?

The problem was calling this "hacking" in the first place. This is really pro-rated pricing common in many industries. If they wanted to no longer offer pro-rated pricing, they could in about 2 seconds. Did some on SD want to feel they were hackers and perpetuate this idea?
Edit: Imagine what it does to non-technical employees reading that their work is getting hacked.

Fair deal, not amazing.
Not worth compromising your Home Depot account in my opinion, unless you're dying to enter the 60v ecosystem immediately.

The "hack" is not why HD is banning people. It's because the hack itself involves returns. HD's algorithm flags and bans account that exceed their return limit within a certain time period. Unfortunately the way the hack works it causes a mark once you do it one time and after so many times the algorithm will ban you.So you're good using the hack, just keep it civil and don't get carried away

Been starting to hear this but haven't ran into issues myself. I always pickup the items and then return the item I don't want to the store. Ive never done that not pickup stuff. I also always bring it back in the unopened box

How did you get it down to $110? It shows $166 for me.
