This works great for Android Auto. Much better than the two 70 dollar motorola versions that failed within a year. I have had it perhaps about a year and it simply works. I start truck and phone connects. I think it is an AA problem but if don't want AA and want to have a call on thmy earbud to hear more easily, I cannot switch the audio to the earbud. .. as in I can have the settings switch and remove call audio permissions from the Bluetooth permissions of the car in saved devices, but AA ignores that and continues to route to the car. So to do that simple thing I need to unplug the AA dongle completely or temporarily disable AA in the phone settings all together. The Motorola versions would have a fit if they were unplugged and be a gamble if they would easily connect again.

All to say this is a great deal. I already bought extra.

No clue about Apple Carplay.
