I used to work at KFC. The mashed potatoes is powder and water. The lousiest side they offer.

secret: go to your local grocery store like Safeway or Albertsons, they frequently have $5 bucket of fried chicken and its 100x better than KFC trash. But get it when it's hot from the fryer or else it won't taste nearly as good!

Everyone has gotten into the, let's raise prices and blame it on gas prices, they won't go back down though.

KFC's Tuesday bucket deal is a cheap way to get a full chicken meal, especially when the app or a participating store shows the 8 piece dark meat bucket at the advertised price. The portions can be generous, with large thighs, biscuits, and sides making it enough for multiple dinners in some orders. The main drawback is consistency, since availability varies by location and the chicken can arrive dry, oily, salty, soggy, or stale. It feels like a solid value when the store is participating and the batch is fresh.

  • The $10 bucket can work as a convenient replacement for home-cooked meals when cooking feels like a hassle.

  • The $10 thigh and drumstick bucket can provide large portions with multiple sides and biscuits under $22.

    DAC21

  • The app checkout can lower the effective price by showing the 8-piece bucket with small sides and biscuits for $20.

    DAC21

  • Some locations can offer the Tuesday 8-piece bucket deal without requiring the app for redemption.

    tiggard

  • The $10 8-piece Tuesday offer can be unavailable in some areas or not show up in online ordering.

    tiGGGtiGGGRelaxedClub5291

  • The chicken can come out overly salty, oily, or overcooked, making it dry or hard to eat.

    XoblaimTenderClass540airbender

  • The promotion price can change to $11 using tape in some areas.

    SlickCrow776

  • Chicken quality can vary by location, with old, stale, dark, or grey pieces that may require returns and replacements.

The $5 Costco rotisserie chicken is a better deal for me
Sure, it's literally a loss leader to get you into the store (where it is illegal to leave without spending $300, or at least that's what my wife says), and you need a membership to use it. Not saying Costco food deals are bad - they're very good - but not exactly apples to apples.

10 wings for $10 is just standard, not really a deal. Do due diligence and check prices of other items against this deal.

Not sure if it's location based(MN here) but I know I checked this past Tuesday on the app and did not see the $10 8pc offer. It hasn't been available for a month now from what I can tell.
I've bought it a several kfc in my area. No app needed then but it's always participating stores.

Just bought drums and thighs from local grocery for .88/lb. I'll cook my own in air fryer.

Corporate greed has bent us over for decades, but straight out of control the past decade.

A $1 packet of Idahoan mashed potatoes is better and you get more.
