This 15 inch MacBook Air M5 deal stands out for the 24GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration at a lower price than Apple's listed build. The same setup is described as a strong fit for AI, data entry, and research work, with enough headroom to add external storage if needed. The main caveats are that the listing appears tied to a special color and may not stay at $1299, and B and H's return policy and restocking terms deserve a close look. A solid value if the posted price is still active.

Not sure where the $1519 price from but this is a $1499 build on the Apple website. Good price if you're not near a Micro Center

I don't see this config with 512GB SSD at Micro Center (not on their website at least), only 1TB SSD which is $1445+taxes: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...r-midnight

In the same vein, you can get a 15" M5 with 24GB of RAM, a 1TB drive, and a 70W charger for $1499 shipped if you do the same Payboo deal. Just be sure to click the order now button when you apply for the card, otherwise it won't allow you to use it and you'll lose out on the deal.

Hmmm Microcenter's has the 1tb version for $150 more. Wonder if it's worth just going that route

FYI. BH is apparently closed (will not allow checkout) for Shabbat until Saturday nightStupid BH question: any way to pick a different color? Pictures show all, but I don't see a choice option, and site earch only shows this listing (midnight)..

This deal seems like a special listing with that price and only one color. 🤷🏻 ♂️
They have another listing of this product which doesn't have this discount, but it lets you choose color and other options: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...ir_m5.html.

be careful. the only other same price listing I saw was a slightly different spec. I want to say it was at least lower RAM and I stopped looking at that point

Hmm you think it could be a listing error? I'd just return it if it's so tbh

Wow, great deal if you have the card to avoid taxes purchased same configuration directly from apple with student discount for $1399 plus tax. This would have saved me approx $228 (100 + 128 tax_) I love this configuration I use this as may main Claude AI device to assist with data entry analysis, research. No issues very pleased. If worried about storage, just connect 1 or 2 TB storage. Claude will work on drive so long it is connected.

Actually, B&H has always been really fair with me on returns, although I've rarely had to return anything. Good company, with excellent customer service.

As per their website, restocking is only charged if the item isn't returned in proper condition.
