This 15 inch MacBook Air M5 deal stands out for the 24GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration at a lower price than Apple's listed build. The same setup is described as a strong fit for AI, data entry, and research work, with enough headroom to add external storage if needed. The main caveats are that the listing appears tied to a special color and may not stay at $1299, and B and H's return policy and restocking terms deserve a close look. A solid value if the posted price is still active.
Common Questions (5)
The deal price appears to be tied to a special listing at $1299, while the standard Apple/B&H-style price shows $1499 to $1519 depending on the page. If you see $1519, the discounted listing may not be active for you.
A 1TB version was mentioned at $1445 plus tax at Micro Center, and another B&H/Payboo option was $1499 shipped with 24GB RAM, 1TB storage, and a 70W charger. That makes the 512GB $1299 deal cheaper up front, while the 1TB route costs more but adds storage.
B&H's restocking fee is only charged if the item is returned in improper condition, and the store was described as fair with returns and strong customer service. The main caution is to keep the laptop in returnable condition if you might send it back.
Yes, the $1299 listing is for the 15-inch MacBook Air M5 with 24GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. Micro Center's comparable listing was only showing a 1TB option, so this B&H deal fills that gap.
The 24GB RAM configuration was used as a main Claude AI device for data entry, analysis, and research with no issues. If storage is tight, external 1TB or 2TB storage can be connected and used while attached.
