Is the Jamo S 803 worth buying in 2026? Would you still recommend it?

Back in the day when they first came out people really hyped up the sound signature on these for the price.

130 at Amazon, and seems never been lower than 109 on Amazon, so still a good deal. But yeah never trust the list prices, look around for real data.

Have you owned them or heard them in real life?

Have them. Great speakers for this price. Easy to drive and sound pretty good. They won't be as loud or warm as higher tier speakers. But they are not bad in any sense. I would buy at this price.

Unless you share some data to back this up (and I have no skin in this game), my mystery downvoter is like GreyAlpaca544, useless (and quite likely one in the same).

Got these a few years ago for $79. Have them in a spare room hooked up to a old yamaha v471 receiver and a jbl 8 inch sub. With a little eq they sound pretty good. They are not disappointing at all. Going to be kinda hard to buy anything new that will sound better for $100. You can definitely find better deals if you don't mind buying used.
