I've been a loyal Sony fanboy for YEARS, and never had a bad Sony TV in 20 years of owning them, but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. it literally looks like burn in, so every time a light colored image pops up on screen it would show up.

I was in talks with Sony CS this week to replace the TV.... but I might just re-order a 4th time online (all 3 were in store models, so it could have been a bad batch that this store got...all 3 were consecutive serial numbers too)

I got 3 of them from the last time this sale was on (about 2 weeks ago). all 3 arrived with damaged panels out of the box. had a ghost "strip" at the bottom of the panel. returned twice in store, got the same issue with each one of them.

(this image below is from the last one I got out of the three)

Sounds like horrible panel lottery. I experienced the same thing with another Sony Bravia from 2019...it took 3 returns before finally getting a TV with only few dead pixels around the very edge of the screen. Swore I'd never buy another Sony TV again after dealing with that mess.

What TCL model does this compare more to? C6K or C7K?

halfway in between those two. better colors and better brightness and HDR than the QM6K, but not AS good as the QM7K....but the processing power is better than any TCL

TCL bought control of Sony Bravia and it sounds like quality is suffering.

SONY is out of the TV business. I've always bought SONY TVS... But will not going forward.
