These cost $9.85. Not $16. And you get an extra 50 mAh with these. Not a good deal on these old batteries.

800mAh is useless. Not sure why they are still making them?

There's a 24pk for 13 and change, I opted for that one.

These batteries are rated for 1000x charges, the "high capacity" 50mah more are rated for 500x charges. They still have their place just pick the one that best fits their role. Could never have too many with 2 toddlers and their toys. In for a max of 2. Thanks OP.

Are these batteries slightly bigger than regular alkaline ones? I have some Amazon Basics AA rechargeable batteries and they're annoyingly bigger and won't fit in most devices

I've not had that issue (yet) with my AmazonBasics AA or AAA batteries. I think I've had one or two device not work based on 1.2v compared to 1.5v though.

They all slightly are I believe.
Depends how badly designed the old stuff is, vintage electronics can be insanely tight tolerances or just not fit at all, an example is decades old speak and spells, but that's more because the batteries are probably just adapters filled with smaller batteries to begin with, not something AA/AAA would resort to.

Yes, these come in AA / Double A size on Amazon. But not on Woot unfortunately.
