Don't see a way to upload a picture of the price tag. 949.97 on clearance.

I picked Costco in the deal submission form. Don't know what good that did, because it didn't show up. Was trying to do it from my phone before I took my afternoon nap. 😀 The deal submission form from my phone is, shall we say, "lacking".

Perfect as a monitor. Just make sure to use dark theme to prevent burn-in. I'm using one and I don't have to use my reading glasses

Is that a joke or were you being serious?
The 42" is what people normally buy to use as a monitor. The pixel density of the 42" is just slightly below a 27" 1440p monitor, while the 55" would be slightly below a 27" 1080p monitor. A 27" 1080p monitor is generally considered as garbage as far as pixel density, only really suitable for people with bad eyes.

I bought the display model for $475 in East Hanover, NJ this morning. It came with the 5 year warranty too. The $949 close outs are also receiving the extended warranty. If you get the display model, make sure they ring the warranty for the original price -- not the discount. Otherwise, All State will short change you if you need to make a claim.

This is an awesome TV. The C5 is better than my 65 inch Samsung S85D OLED in my living room. But I value the bigger display in the living room, so the C5 will be my bedroom TV. Both are paired with Samsung Q-series soundbars, the C5 a Q800C and the S85D a Q990D. This C5 deal almost rivals my Q990D soundbar deal for $399 last year -- the best deal I ever found on Slickdeals.

Check your local Walmart. Walmart close to my location had c5 on clearance for $850. They do have 83 inches in clearance as well

Isn't this a normal sale price for a 55" C5?

Costco has gotta cut it more.

I agree with stasis and no joke. I bought the 55" C5 a month ago at the same clearance price of $949 and use it as my primary desk monitor. It is actually easier to read text at 4K resolution from about 40" away compared to my previous C4 48" and 43" Hisense prior to that.

It is crazy that a 42" C5 costs just as much as a 48". Initially, I worried the 55" would be too big on my desk but it's honestly become my favorite size for a monitor.

Picked up the 55 inch C5 for $950 this morning at the Denver Costco, Aurora location. There were quite a few of them out. Thanks to the OP!
